RP Tumba College Launched the Living Lab Setup Activities in Muyanza Village: A Milestone Towards Sustainable Innovation
On July 9th, 2025, a significant step forward was taken for sustainable community development as RP Tumba College, in collaboration with local authorities, officially launched the setup activities for the Living Lab (LL) in Muyanza Village, Buyoga Sector, Rulindo District.

The launch event was an inclusive gathering that united key stakeholders to align on the project’s objectives and upcoming activities. Among the participants were:

  • The Executive Secretary of Buyoga Sector

  • The Sector Police Commander

  • The Land and Notary Officer

  • Local Cell and Village-level leaders

  • The RP Tumba College Project Implementation Team

The day’s agenda included an opening session with introductions and an overview of the Living Lab project, followed by interactive planning discussions to define roles and responsibilities. Participants then took part in a site visit for local orientation, and the day concluded with a community engagement session, where residents learned more about the initiative and shared their input.

The launch laid a solid foundation for successful implementation, resulting in several key outcomes. These included a shared understanding of the project’s goals among all stakeholders, clear agreements on how each party will contribute, stronger ties between RP Tumba College and local authorities, and encouraging support from community members who welcomed the project with enthusiasm. The positive energy and collaboration witnessed during the launch event promise an impactful Living Lab that will foster innovation, sustainability, and community-driven solutions in Muyanza Village.
