On September 20th, 2024, the University of Rwanda held an SDG-focused event at its Living Lab in Bugesera District. The lab showcases a smart irrigation system powered entirely by green energy, aligning with SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy) and SDG 13 (Climate Action). Designed to help farmers efficiently manage water resources amid recurring droughts, the initiative supports sustainable agriculture and strengthens food security in the region.
